Symptoms of Pregnancy

from:

The key to determining if there is something going on medically is a matter of knowing your own body in many cases. This is especially true for a woman questioning the possibility of a pregnancy. She will know when her body isn’t behaving as it usually does and will probably know the reason sooner than a missed period. At least, she will more than likely suspect the happy news. The symptoms of pregnancy are like every pregnancy, they vary and are likely to be different for each woman each time she has a baby. While no two babies are just alike neither is the pregnancy that got them here.

It is interesting how some symptoms of pregnancy are so small they almost don’t register with the mother to be. Feelings of fatigue are often attributed to a lot of stress or heavy workload. Morning sickness gets blamed on a virus going around. Missing a period is a pretty solid indicator though. Of course, certain disorders or stress can cause a woman to miss her period, but usually a MIA period is cause for celebration.

Early moodiness or tearfulness is often one of the most overlooked symptoms of pregnancy. This is a common occurrence that can leave the mom to be feeling like she will never feel normal again. The good news is this symptom usually gets better as the pregnant woman adjusts to the tremendous surge of hormones in her body. The support and understanding of influential people in her life, like her partner, and family and friends, makes this stage easier for the mother and everyone else involved.

Sleepiness and fatigue are other symptoms of pregnancy that are sometimes overlooked. They are easy to associate with everyday life stresses and a busy schedule. It is important for a mom to be to rest as often as possible and when she feels overly tired. The rapid growth of baby requires a lot of energy and the pregnant woman may find that there doesn’t seem to be any energy left for her. Avoiding unnecessary stress and reworking household chores to give mom time to rest are good ways to help ensure a healthy, restful pregnancy for mom and baby.

As perplexing and confusing as symptoms of pregnancy can be, a good way to proceed if there is any question is to behave as if a child is on the way. That way no harm will come to the child from unhealthy behaviors, and if there isn’t a little one on the way, there isn’t any harm in clean living until the question is answered.
